It should come as no surprise that a transmitter must be coming from Spektrum soon. The iX12 is the most they currently offer.

I'm predicting an iX20, building and improving on the iX12 model.

What should the next gen transmitter have? Are there any applications that would make flying better or safer? Are there any applications that don't exist yet that you would like to see?


I think we're a few years away still from a transmitter that rubs my shoulders after every flight, but I have to say, I'm liking the technology.

The main things that I would like to see is a faster processor, larger battery, and some newer hardware that can run up-to-date versions of Android. The ix12 is a great first step, but it just crawls through anything. It freezes, lags, and takes longer to do almost anything than it did on the DX9. If it had the same inference, but responded as quickly and logically as a modern iPad or smartphone does, it would really be appealing.
