Indeed, good option, and Jetdude, I have no doubt about that at all, I would just do it alittle more subtle is all. :)

I got the nozzle and a RCGeek's center afterburner installed, it's almost too much to stand

How does she do on grass George? Your field looks to be cut a little shorter and smoother than mine, but not by a lot. The main wheels look good, but the nose wheels look pretty small.

I think itll do fine personally. My f18 did well on my field where it's really rough. I'm hoping our guy who mows gets back from vacation soon. It really needs to be knocked down as it is 4 inches tall. :Straight-Face:

I maidened mine today. Boy this jet is fast. I had too much aileron throw and cut it down after landing. I also put some more expo in it the ailerons. Second flight was much better although the wind was knocking it around. I'm using a Jetwerx 4000mah 60c and it balances a little nose heavy with the gear down. Gear up is fine. When banking the wind can really bounce it around. I am impressed with the power this set-up has. Flying along at high Alpha and push the throttle forward and it visibly accelerates much like a prop plane. Vertical was no problem. Now to try and get it to hover if even for a few seconds. The best part is you only need to fly it at half throttle for the majority of the flight to enjoy it. My timer is set at 3:30 and I'm landing with 35% in my batteries. They were a little warm but I attribute that to the lack of cooling in the fuselage for the battery. Might need to figure a way out to get some air in there.

I've got the plane built and it is a wonderful looking bird. I have an gyro in it that I put just behind the battery bay which meant I had to mount the radio all the way. I've also added the center AB lights from RC Geek. I put the Admiral 4k battery in as far back as I could get it and could not get the plane to balance to the specs in the manual. I had to add led to the back of the plane. My question is, has anyone else had trouble getting the plane to balance?

You have to tuck the battery back in the fuse a little.

We have at least 4 mirages at our field including mine and no one had to add any weight, and I'm running a 4500 roaring top with the a/b from the geek. Sepulveda basin in the san fernando valley, come and check.

Maiden flight today went very well. Put 3 batts thru her, fluoreon 4500s with the timer at 3:30. Great flier, very fast! On final she’s very hard to see, so I’m going to add some “metal” to the leading edge. Thanks Motion RC and Freewing.
