you wouldn't happen to have a picture of these reflectors? I’m curious.

I still have the emails where one center burner maker tried pawning off another guys work..

Put something in the way and thrust is reduced. Keep it clean and no issue. So with yours the light effect matters more than thrust does which is great and what some want. Great light effect wit no obstruction in the air-stream/no thrust reduction is my emphasis. Each to their own. Its not a competition anyway. Just meeting the needs of customers. Calling other methods "stupid" is not very professional... its just a different method.

Aros thanks for the order by the way!

Now back to the topic... I am still torn between getting an ARF Plus Grey and making a VFC-12 bird or getting the Blue Angel ARF Plus and Making a custom bird that way... I have til friday to make my choice but am still stumped...

          • Repaint and simple mods to the cockpit are complete. Added a HUD with Solyx Spectrum Dichroic film. It’s clear but has a prism-like effect that changes color at different angles while still maintaining it’s transparency. It also gives the cool occasional flash as it reflects the sun while your flying around. Click image for larger version

                • whats funny to me is the competitor is saying there isnt any competition when three clearly is one, officially instigated by bringing up the false notion that thrust is an issue with the lightburner (curious to me how the competitor could know this). The truth is after many case studies and testimonials there is no hint of any thrust reduction, what so ever.

The only thrust reduction for this most up to date and advanced design only exists in certain peoples minds who might have a thrust issue themselves

@ aros after you get bored of what you just ordered the light burner is always available to brighten your day and finally meeting your needs.

Ive ordered several sets of the lightburners dual afterburner intensity lighting standard module for my 90mm f18 and f22, and very happy with the results, no thrust reduction. The lighting this kit offers is intense compared to many other designs out there... I like how easy it is to setup.

Just roll the bearing up in one round of masking tape, the tan sticky masking tape works best, trim off the excess with a sharp exacto knife, say goodbye to slop and no messy glue.
Thanks, will definitely look into that

I'm sure the usual's will be on soon with page long explanations about how it won't work even though they don't have or fly the F-18.
                            Ok, let me oblige lol.

I for one would never accept that much unwanted diff without fixing it (separate channels typically), but that's because I want my models to be geometrically perfect, not because a little error here and there is necessarily fatal. Of course it isn't.

Preferring an optimal setup isn't the same as crying wolf over a mediocre one, like you are suggesting.

And whether or not people have or fly this particular model has absolutely no relevance. Physics are physics, and this model is not exempt :D

                            • What surprises me a bit in the whole afterburner market discussion is that Chris didn't patent it in the first place. (Since there are so much variants and competition - a healthy thing for sure - I'm assuming he didn't)

Definitely. And considering Chris' attitude and amazing contribution to this hobby I'm actually quite sure he agrees (which might also explain the lack of patent suits by now lol)

Yeah, try it, it works great, just thought of it last night when I was putting my grey one together, thought I better share it because it works so well, now I need to do my BA one, forgot to do that when I built it.
