  • Tirediron Aviation Hangar Days

A few months ago we decided to start a "Hangar Day" every third Saturday of the month so pilots can get help and help others work on their planes, quads and helis and if the weather permits fly some as well. I'm starting this thread to chronicle these event's they've been well attended but this past Saturday was a blow out over 50 people attending:Cool:

Got a little sad for a moment when I saw my ol' Stuka hanging there.....then I got over that when I peaked out in the shop and gandered at the BIG P-40 LOL

OV what did you think about the Stuka I'm kinda interested in one in the future. It's something different I've read some reviews and they are really mixed good and bad.

The issue people usually have with a Stuka's performance stem from expecting it to act like a fighter when it was a dive bomber with some ability to fight in self defense. (but mostly they ran while M1-109's drove off the attackers) They just don't do well for the high performance yanking and banking. The wing taper leads to tip-stalls and snapping out of high G maneuvers.
