              • TF, That is just too cool for school. I am blown away, sir. Best, LB :)
I solemnly swear to "over-celebrate" the smallest of victories.

                      • I haven't flown anything since last November! Main reason being, I have a cataract in the left eye which has grounded any flying. I can't see out there. I had my right eye fixed 3 years ago with 20/20 vision. Unfortunately, the bad left eye is affecting the good right eye now. I was told to watch out or I could have my Driver's Licence yanked! Not good! Eyesight is so precious! Then, there's prescriptions for glasses after surgeries. There's only so much that can be done. The eyes have so many parts which need to work in concert. Millions are dealing with it. I'm hoping that my Eye Doc can chart a course for me that will restore the main optic power. No more planes for now. Also, for all you folks who spend so much time on computer screens and smartphones: BEWARE THE DANGER OF BLUE LIGHT!!! Make sure you get Blue Light Filtering wherever you can!!! Buy "Computer Glasses" with Blue Light filtering and wear high quality sunglasses out there!!! LED's are great, but they produce high frequency blue light that damages retina cells and they accelerate eye damage... This hobby relies on sharp, stereoscopic pilot vision! I've built, maintained and flown electric planes for only 10 years. I have done close-up work for 35 years which I think is the main culprit. Bottom line is: "It's having something and then losing it which is the hardest factor to accept"......I'm hoping for a positive outcome!...

                            • AirHead, my brother, I haven’t flown since NEFI 2018! Eye issues among some other crap. Prayers out to you! You remember the Dentist that told his patient, you’re teeth are OK but you’re gums gotta go? My eyes are OK but my eye lids gotta go! Constant swollen eye lids. They don’t grip and clear the eyeball like they’re are supposed to, always bleary blurry. You don’t realize the importance of eyelids till they don’t work, they improve vision as the muscles contort the eye, thus the lens, to focus. Never knew that before it happened. Ah the wonders of non- Hodgkin lymphoma.
I wonder if a service dog would help me at the field!LOL

Well, maybe if you get an Aussie. (We've had Aussies pretty much our entire married life, and if they had thumbs, they'd rule the world)

Very, very sorry to hear about lymphoma and likewise with prayers for you... I'm sure you have had the eyelids looked at. My Eye Doc suggests baby shampoo and distilled water mix, 50/50 and wipe the lower lid every morning. It acts as a "wetting agent" to clear the cornea. I was also told by a dermatologist that many people have "ocular rosacea" and don't know it. It affects the eyes. Treatment is with heavy-duty Doxycycline antibiotic.......
