        • My son Enoch maidened his new L-39. He did a good job. Amazing how far he has progressed due to taking on the daily flight challenge.

          • Another flight with the rebuilt and refined Fawkes, and a flight each with the Stinger and the Simple Scout. Breeze was rather iffy, so I didn't put the Calypso up.

              • Had some fun this morning with these two, which one is my favorite you might thinking? The A-10 is the best flying EDF jet out there in my book, hands down a winner.

                • The Flite Test Simple Scout could easily become my favorite go-to airplane. For being an inexpensive plane made of foamboard, it sure flies nice. The first three times I flew her, I took off with full throttle, which gave it a lot of torque to the left. Last week, I went with about 3/4 throttle, and this week, only half. I seriously have this plane over-powered.

Well, for 6 months of the year, it's white.

One of our club members put his up for a maiden flight last weekend. Quite a fine model - and can’t say I blame him for just keeping it on the shelf for 2 years.

I'll take the lack of green over the six months of white any time. My body doesn't handle that frosty white stuff very well at all.

Plus, I've never had to shovel heat out of my driveway to get anywhere I needed to go.

                                    • Lots of fun flying formation with different flyers over the weekend. It's interesting seeing the different quirks people have in their flying style that they don't even notice they have. But it's obvious when I fly FPV close to their planes. Here's a video
with the club's known "smooth stick". He likes going fast, but rolls don't look so axial compared to ground view...

Hah, can't say I blame him either! I've been guilty of that a few times now, especially with some balsa models I've been "almost done" with for a few years. Lots of detail in these little helis!
