Boots, pass on a big thank you from me as well. My Uncle was in the Canadian Special Forces during Korea.

      OK, here goes.

First love, lifetime hobby has been competitive shooting. High school JROTC was 4-position small bore with .22 and match air rifles... grew up and came back to NRA High Power Rifle and F-Class. Got bored shooting the square range and then started doing practical/tactical long-range matches.

onemildot was my sign on for forums related to that hobby. Had to change the o to a zero at some point when some server crashed and became 0mildot.... nobody else uses it.

A mil is an angular measure of arc based on a power of ten/metric system. mildot is slang for a scope reticle using round or oval dots that allow precise aiming and target measurement to assist with range determination.

I'm just one guy who uses a mil dot.

Arcane as hell, but there you go!

Cool Onemildot, welcome to the forum.
So, now you're flying R/C, an interesting crossover because of the level of concentration involved in both hobbies. Great to have you here!
