  • Converting iPhone "Slo Mo" Video to PC

Hems-Driver shared with me a wicked cool video of his FlightLineRC P-38 doing a low fly by using his iPhone's "Slo Mo" feature. I just got the iPhone 7 Plus (was using an Android for the past few years) mainly because I stinkin' LOVE that slo mo video! It's pegged at 1080p at 120 fps and 720p at 240 fps. That's nice and smooth slow motion. His video got me thinking about how cool it would be to have a YouTube video showing various slow motion low passes with my various RC models...

But how do you convert iPhone's "Slo Mo" video to a PC-friendly video format that I can edit in Movie Maker to publish to YouTube?

Well, I think I have found out how to get the first part accomplished. The video below shows you (assuming you have an iPhone with "Slo Mo" capability) how you can create a file that is compatible with a PC converting to a .MOV file format. From there, the question is, will it retain it's slow motion (120fps) rate using the free software Movie Maker? I will have to experiment but I don't have my hopes up. If anyone with knowledge on the topic could chime in that would be fantastic.

Most of the Motion RC videos seem to go pretty fast ;)

Nice Beeg! I'll see if I can get Hems-Driver to upload his video...When I first saw it (on my iPhone) I thought it was a full scale P-38 low pass! Really cool stuff.
