  • By the same token if I knew an F100 was on its way no matter how long the wait I'd be happy knowing it would be coming.
I know its better that the gap is shorter between notification and release.

Kill Hitler's mother? There would be no German planes...Apparently, she was the "Mother of all bombs"...She blew up at him all the time, which helped to develop his love for aviation. Where would we be without the 262, 190, 109 and the Stuka?..

PS Yea, HK is love them hate them for sure. Serious bitter sweet relationship to say the least. My favorites are MRC also. But my Motion RC hat got so dirty my wife made stop wearing it. Trust me I have a big bald head, so hats are my savior. All I have left is a Durifly HK gave me. So next time I order from MRC, Probably an A-4, maybe a Sea Fury. I'm going to ask for a free hat. Problem with HK, is some times they're the only place that has what I need. Hard to figure I know, but honest feedback.
Yes and no. WWII would probably been against Stalin in 1945-48, with Europe spending nearly thirty years at "peace". No German "bulwark" would exist because it would be an impoverished Communist leading country. And we'd probably be in the "quagmire" of pacifying Japan that wasn't frightened by the atomic bomb.

Alpha already let us know it is a edf project.

                • Alpha told us Foil is an edf, but there are other planes coming too! One is called Hoot, and the other Five Eyes, if I remember correctly!

                  • I keep hoping for a nice sized twin 80 mm F-22. Until then I have plenty of planes to fly and my hobby budget keeps growing interest.

                    • I keep hoping for a twin 70mm A-6.
The single 80mm @ 1170mm / 46 inch span is a nice flying EDF but a little small when it comes to turf operation.
A twin 70mm @ 1600mm / 63inch span would be a phenomenal remake that would be as good on turf as the A-10.
I know that one of the MRC owners has a close fondness to A-6's as I do. ;)

HK announced the C130 on May 20. That was two months ago... and it will likely be a month from now before it arrives (maybe longer). When a company introduces a model that is "in manufacturing" when they know it won't be ready for 3 months, that is not the same as it being available "shortly".

When MRC announces a new plane, it means it has shipped and is on the way to their warehouse. There's a big difference.

                                    • Whatever EDF is released next (hopefully FOIL), I've got a seat ready for you!

                                      • Another random thought on project foil...
Given it's long development time, it makes you wonder if it's rather complex and expensive (twin 80mm, with swing wings perhaps?) and I wonder if it's an F-111 since Alpha hinted at it being SEA as I heard prior on this thread?

To fit the criteria for FOIL, cloud atlas, and SEA operation...
Foil: fly low under radars at Mach 1+ without need for fighter escort/EW aircraft, in bad weather to boot, foiling enemy attempts to intercept it
Cloud Atlas: concept gave rise to the F-14 from the Navy, and the Russians took notice with it to design the MiG-23 and MiG-27
SEA: Once fixed, it proved itself over Vietnam with a decent combat record.

So, is it an F-111? It'd be interesting if it was, though I still like my MiGs...
