  • Multiplex Lentus Thermik 3M Sailplane

Came across this beauty on YouTube last evening. I'm a sucker for scale sailplanes with T-tails. Sadly, there isn't anyone in the US offering it so you would have to order it from EU and have it shipped overseas (if you live in the US).

Here's a list of some EU distributors. KIT is fair at £269.90 but the RR (PNP) is £569.90. And with shipping to US ouch.

Aros, apparently, there is a Multiplex dealer in the Los Angeles area, but the Ventus has not arrived yet. Stock is supposedly on the way. Multiplex was bought by Hitec (or was it the other way around). More info can be found here: https://mrmpxhobbies.com/announcemen...nt-on-the-way/
The Lentus is very expensive. Don't know if I'd go for one. I've got 3 very nice large sailplanes at the moment.

Good to know, thank you! Yeah I may pick one up someday (and I did add myself to the notify list) but I am currently enjoying my BoT thoroughly.

I'll consider one later but for now, I'll wait till I either wear one of my big sailers out or crash one.

Flew my Bird of Time again this morning. I just can't see getting rid of it or crashing it. It flies so well and looks so good. Same goes for my Mystique. The one that I might part with is the Radian XL. I'd get the Lentus to replace it if that happened.

Agreed. I can't get enough of the beauty and flight habits of my Bird of Time. It definitely checks all the boxes for me as far as smooth, relaxing soaring goes. I hit such a good thermal a couple weeks back even an eagle saw me and flew over to join. It was pretty fantastic.

In case anyone was interested, they are now in stock:

To be honest, as much as I'd like one, this thing would end up being around 1000 Canuck bucks. Even my Mystique RES didn't cost nearly this much to get into the air. I think I'll just keep flying what I've got and just watch from the sidelines till something drastic happens with the pricing or a good used one shows up.
