    • Thank ya was a pain bought her second hand it sat in a shed for years. Never flown but wrecked ( him ) on a taxi. Paint kept peeling all over ended up sealing the whole thing

      • Here's my rebuilt tomcat after I crashed it due to a failure on my part to properly go though the preflight checklist that is alittle more involved with digital fpv. Basically I forgot to set the air unit to full power, and lost video just as soon as it left the runway. The rebuild was done much better and lighter than the body it replaced. And it is definitely noticeable.

          • It's alot of fun doing this, I also play alot of dcs, and it's pretty cool how to me it feels almost the same flying these jets fpv as it does flying the simulator in vr. They have a very similar feel.

            • Replaced the gun sight. Definitely looks better in this video. You can definitely tell the weight improvement on the loop I did in this one.

                • Hello all. May as well do a little history on myself and the jet. I'm 57. Been flying since I was 19. I bought the jet used. It's in fairly good shape. The first two months of owning it it just sat on my coffee table looking like a God. Such an magnificent looking jet. So I bought it to fly it. So after doing some homework I set it up and flew it. Two 5200 batt's. It was a maiden so flew around a little over half throttle with my timer set at 3min. Start coming in for the landing approach and it goes dead in the turn. Pull throttle back regain control surfaces. This jet has such a presence in the air. Incredible looking and flying jet. Before I seen the wreckage I already knew I was getting another. After searching for a while. You wouldn't think such a big jet would be so hard to find in 3ft of soy bean plants. But after about an hour and standing on the roof of the truck we found it. To my amazement this jet is extremely tough. The front piece broke off clean broke one of the wing attachment points to the servo arm and bent a servo arm on the wing sweep mechanism. All in forty dollars in replacement parts. I don't know what happened that time I have flown it successfully at least five or six times. So I bought two 2150 12 blade and a 100-watt electronic speed control power systems from two different sellers. One fan looks great. The other fan looks like the pictures I'm showing you. The seller says this is normal and that my other fan must not have been ran up and this is what happened when they get pounded and ran in the first time or two. I would like you guys opinion on if the fan is good to go or should I get a new one? I also plan on doing all the mods over the winter. I'm in Michigan so flying season just about done. I just bought a whole new fuselage. I think it was like 1:40 shipped of the house. I figure my time is more valuable got to go over that fuselage I have and repair all the dings and whatnot. And considering you get the wings sweep cover , and everything except the nose cone I think that's a pretty good price. I'm going to do carbon fiber upgrades for the landing gear and the battery tray area etc. great forum thanks for the help.
