With that amount of pitch up when landing you must be waaaaaay nose heavy... shift the CG back and it will fly a lot better!

so i was told it came with some tail weight? Did you add +-30gr extra or just the +-30gr in the tail?
    Thanks!
I started without it, but yes, I ended up adding some, in addition to removing pilot figure and cleaning the space under the airbrake to fit one of the 4S 4200mAh packs.

        • i have put in a FMS 90mm 12 Blade EDF Unit in my Eurofighter 6s setup

          (converted it to 8s basically)

i was surprised when bench/floor testing the jet doesnt even sound or feel more powerful than the 6s i just ripped out...

          is that normal ?

I re-calibrated end points again on the ESC.

I thought on 8s it would sound well.. more mental. sounds the same, is the ESC in 6s mode or something?

How many beeps do you get before initialization, 6 or 8? Is the FMS an 8S fan? I've got a 90mm FMS 12 blade in their Avanti and it is NOT an 8S fan. Additionally, did you swap out the stock 6S ESC, with a 120 amp 8S ESC? My Euro is 8S and it's quite different with power and sound than a 6S.

My guess is you have the components (or some) for 6S and nothing for 8S! What 8S flight pack are you using?

The stock 6S esc is the same as the 8S. All you need to convert to 8S is the fan.

I think you have in effect downgraded your Typhoon. I was not aware of a FMS 8S fan. The stock 6S is quite a strong fan and the Freewing 8S fan is a monster. If you have fitted the same FMS fan from the 90mm Viper then you have downgraded the Euro.

                • Hi everyone, has anyone managed to fit 8s 6000 packs in? I use 6000 packs on my other planes and it would be nice to keep them all the same. Presumably some
                  foam removal needed.
But just wondered if anyone has achieved it.
                  Thanks.

IMO, an 8S 6000 pack would be a little too heavy for this one to fly at it's maximum protentional. I use an SMC 8S HiV 4400 pack in mine, shoved all the way back AND a bit of lead in the tail to achieve the more tail heavy CG it flies best at. That pack weighs 780 gr. I love the SMC 8S HiV 5900 pack weighing in at 938 gr and use this in my two 8S F4's and 8S F16 (older version) and they fly spectacular on those but much easier to get a rearward (is that a word?) cg without adding more tail weight. Keep as much weight outta this one for better performance. Just my opinion , so take it with a grain of salt, but I should warn you that I am extremely humble and ALWAYS right!

                            • How many people owning this jet have the 3d printed heavy exhaust nozzle installed on the V3 eurof.? Is it "a must" when flying on 6s 5000mah 70c cnhl

                              • First the new Euro is not a V3 like, say the V3 70mm F-16. There was a V1 and 2 of the older Euro with TV. The new one is all new. FreeWing does not call it a V3 either.

I did not add 3D printed nozzles but I did add extra lead to the tail. I built mine as a 6S but after flying with a friends 8S I quickly went 8S too. I have fairly light batteries, 575+250g.

Your right. I tought it was a v3 sinds the update in 2023 my bad.
and did add a Total of 30grams or more?

                                  • I don't remember exactly how much I added but it was quite a bit. I probably say earlier in this thread or on RCG.

So in stock form. Is i diffecult to fly/ keep the nose up? Or do you have to constant hold elevator?

                                      Comment

                                      • No. Like most planes you need to use more elevator and it will need up trim compared to a more rearward balance.

Me. It gets the added lead as far back as is possible, and looks better than the stock nozzle too.
