I'm not a fan of Spektrum batteries but 30C should be okay as long as you don't fly the whole flight full throttle.

They have had okay batteries and really bad ones, performance/ weight wise. I use their radio products and really like them. I just prefer batteries from companies that are battery centric. My go to is Power Hobby but I recommend SMC, they are the current top dog. 5000 is a really good size for this and it really doesn't need a high performance battery. A HRB $60 is a great match.

[QUOTE=urrl;n397916]Morning flight. Love that I'm able to wing walk this bird. Wing Walk ? that's a new one on me, never heard that term before. A main wheel landing is what I would call it. I have many planes that are fun to do this type of mean gear only landing I also love doing main wheel touch and goes and never touch down with the Steering gear. Well done sir great flight, nice video

FYI - Just assembled the FW F9F-8 Cougar and doing receiver setup on the bench. Problem with the main gear doors not cycling correctly. They close when gear is up but remain open when the gear is in lowered position. On advice from tech support at MRC I rebound the receiver with the gear down (main gear doors were still open) but that didn’t remedy the issue. Next thing he suggested the blue box on/off switch may be in off position but it was on. Tried rebinding with gear both retracted and extended. No luck, main gear doors main gears don’t cycle at all in off switch position as expected. Called them back and Tim in tech support figured out the gear were plugged in the single stage port from the factory on the blue box. Moved the plug to the outer starboard port which is the two stage port and everything worked perfectly. Good guys at MRC tech support.
