❗️UPDATE FOR EVERYONE❗️ I emailed FMS the video of it going down an explanation. After their team investigated it we both came to a conclusion that the receiver I bought from them was not compatible with the SU27 range wise, and their custom service team told me it was. In conclusion the aircraft went into fail safe and that’s why eveything failed and they are sending me a new one!!! Hey everyone, I just did a maiden on my FMS SU-27 and boy can I say it’s an amazing plane. Is what I thought. Flew it twice good eveything fine, fast nothing fancy no big manouvers I did like 1 roll and 1 loop. On the third flight k am coming into land, and right as I flip my gear switch EVERYTHING FAILS, the engine cuts off, all control surfaces gone. I had no power and no control and it went right into the forest. I am absolutely devastated. This plane was so nice. I had an AR630 in it and I was questioning maybe I went out of range or something but when I look at the video my father took, you can see and hear right when I flip my head switch the engine shuts off and eveything fails. I am now questioning maybe the esc got overloaded and fried? I was running a 6000mah 50c 6s battery in it. It’s has 2 Aerostar 80A ESC’s installed. I am going to call FMS and see if they will send me a new one hopefully 🫤. I doubt it highly though

In fact if it were mine I'd use an AR8360T with a remote mounted the other side of the battery pack. These things are too fast and heavy to risk a signal loss. I'd use the extra channels for controlling a thrust reversing ESC.

My original E-Flight SU-30 was getting a bit "long in the tooth" and after a lot of mods and maybe 150 flights, a bit worse for wear. So decided to get another FMS SU-27, the blue version. Did all the same mods: Dual batteries, afterburners, larger nose wheel and upgraded hitec elevator servos. Finished it a week ago and maidened it recently. Flies solid, not as nice as my Mig 29 but that one with TV nozzles is spectacular. Installed the AR 8360T AS3X upgraded to Plus along with a remote satellite, as Kallend mentioned. I fly off grass so have in set up with flaperons and also set it up with tailerons and the nose wheel gyro in the Plus RX. Got it balanced at 170mm, not as far back as the 200-240 Jon (2 Bros) flies with a single pack in the speed brake bay, but then again I ain't exactly doing some of the crazy stuff he pulls off. Just not quite there yet, if I'll ever be.
I liked the fact that there is very little unpainted white on the SU-27 unlike the SU-30 had, but did add a bit more camouflage markings as well as the red band going across the fuselage going on to the leading edge of the wings. Also added the dark blue band on the fuse, but not the red/white/blue bands on the vertical stabs, only some red on the top of those stabs. All for better visibility. Built out the cockpit and covered everything with 4 coats of clear gloss exterior Spar Urethane for a bit more durability.
This one (like every other aircraft I've updated with Plus), flies extremely stable, lands easily and with the tailerons has superior maneuverability verses "regular" horizontal stabs. Get 5-6 minutes on 2 SMC HiV 4400 packs. All in all, rewarding to fly and has a great presence in the air.
