  • Hi,

Today I did flight #3 to 6. My final settings are ok now. Took a while to find it. CG a bit further back and less flaps with a bit more up elevator for landing approach .

Flight #5 resulted in a final approach with no front gear. Damaged it already on earlier flights. When I realized it, I set flaps to early and recovered from a stall in the last turn. Then I landed my Phantom with gear up on the tanks. That was pretty easy and no damage resulted from that.

All in all I'm happy now. Sweet flyer.

While I climbed fast with full throttle my Jeti Sensor reported more than 100 Amps. Good to know. But my black Admiral 6S 5000mAh are doing fine.

    Cheers
    Andy

        • Repairs completed from my maiden crash. Looks even better now and you cant even tell which wing was damaged. Needed some weathering done also to match the real VF-151 Vigilantes.

She's ready for a remainder now. Click image for larger version

          • Damn good job on the weathering! I believe in order to weather properly, one must consider how the bugs and other granulated particles sandblast the front facing areas ( nose, wings, tail, tanks, ordinance, etc.) of every inch of the aircraft. Some will go as far as to say when the front edges of the plane looks "BAD" from the front, "YOUR THERE!". I chuckle because when I think about it, their absolutely RIGHT!. Most skins on real aircraft are all beat up. Almost to the point to where you can barely see details. Its like a hint of faded color and a blur of letters and numbers! Best of luck and fly on.

T33JM, Most Excellent rework. Ditto M2P on the weathering. Bravo Zulu. Best, LB

                Thank you sir.
The weathering is not done yet, and I will show some updates pics soon . You are right , I looked at the real plane and it is bad so I'm doing more to match it with some more mods.

This FW/MRC F-4 is quickly becoming my favorite jet and I haven’t even flown either yet.
