              • Im at 30% all the way around. Probably going to back that down at some point. They really do fly nice even at half Throttle. We are flying on flourons 4500 and are getting 6 minutes can probably go 7 if we're more conservative

Usually 5-6 but we both have gone over 7.

And you are doing this on the Floureon 4500 packs??? I'm sorry man, I'm just amazed to hear this. I'm running the Admiral 5000's and get 3 to 3-1/2 minutes with a moderate flying style.

                      • Yes, flourns 4500 I also fly admiral 4000 and Zee 4000 and get similar flight times ( 5-6) flying at around half Throttle (some high speed passes) I also did a test at home. i took my different packs and ran them for 5 minutes at half throttle. Flouron came in at 28% , Admiral at 25% and Zee at 24%. My timer is set at 5 minutes and i let it run all the way down before I start making my landing approach.

WOW, I am impressed. I will start increasing my times as well. I would love to fly longer than 3 minutes a flight. Thanks for the info.

                          • Apparently the wing on the Hawk changed sometime in 2018. Anyone know why?

                            • Ok, so I have installed the better struts and there is a problem with the mains (see video). Has anyone else had this issue? This plane was purchased earlier this year so it should be the new wing design. I have tried reversing the struts and still have the same problem.

                              Any ideas?? MRC...any ideas??

Alpha.......The wheel is hitting the wheel well and will not sink in all the way. The is exactly the same on the other side as well. It almost looks to me that if the strut spring had a bit less tension the lower portion would bend more and allow it to go into the wheel well.

                                  • CAV59 - From what I can see, you have the original wing. The wing and struts were redesigned in early 2019. The original strut was 48mm in length and the early 2019 change made the strut 56mm in length and the wing was changed at the same time to accommodate this longer strut. If you have an old wing and new struts, they will not fit. Unfortunately, the only way to solve your problem is with the new wing design which accommodates the 56mm length strut. We have a note on the strut page to attempt to warn people of this: https://www.motionrc.com/products/fr...rbing-gear-set
I wish I had a better answer for you.

Tom. I do not recall seeing the picture and explanation as to the differences when I made the purchase of the plane and struts. How long has the photo of differences been posted on the MRC website. Had I seen this at the time I ordered the plane and struts, I surely would not be asking the question today. I feel there has been a rather significant discrepancy of communication during the time when I placed my order for plane & struts.
