Anyone have one of these? I was looking at as a plane to jump into ARF building with. planning an electric build, but want to hear about some real world experiences first.

L-4 Grasshopper 1620mm (63.7") Wingspan - ARF from Nexa - NXA1005-001

The Piper L-4 Grasshopper evolved from the successful 1930's era civilian Piper Cub series of high wing aircraft. By 1941, the US Army pursued the development of the O-59A which was eventually redesignated to Liaison or "L"-4 Grasshopper.

The Nexa L-4 Grasshopper is a .46 size electric US Army liason aircraft with a 1620mm wingspan, constructed primarily from balsa wood and covered in the US Army olive green livery with invasion stripes. This ARF requires assembly and installation of your choice of servos and power system, and includes two piece wing with aluminum wing joiner, fiberglass cowl and operational pilot door. A large battery tray provides ample space for any size battery you require.

Fully Covered and Detailed The Nexa L-4 Grasshopper comes fully covered in a US Army olive drab scheme with nose art and invasion stripes.

History Recreated Expansive clear cockpit panels enhance the observation characteristic of the Grasshopper platform.

Two Piece Wing with Aluminum Wing Joiner The L-4 Grasshopper has a two piece wing with aluminum wing joiner for easy transportation.

Fiberglass Cowling A fiberglass cowling arrives pre-painted and ready for your electric motor or liquid fuel engine.

Customer Note
Nexa ARF models are constructed out of balsa wood and plywood. These are not foam models. The assembly of balsa wood ARF aircraft requires basic model building skills including the installation of servos, ESC, and motor (or gas engine).
