    @ Alpha,
The other day during one of the build videos I mentioned, jokingly, that a 1/16 scale C-5 would be neat to have to go with our HL tanks and your response was something to the effect of how about a 1/16 scale C-130 so we could try low level chute extractions with the HL tanks. Well, you got me thinking and I started running numbers and thought it could be doable. At 1/16 scale a C-130 would have a wingspan of about 99.44 inches (2525.776mm).
I would love to see Black Horse do such a model. I know BH likes to do lesser modeled aircraft and feel that a C-130 would be right in their wheelhouse. I, for one, would purchase at least two, (one in USAF livery and one in Coast Guard livery) right off the bat.
Just my 2 cents. Please let me know what you think.

    Best regards,
    Cris B.

There is one manufacturer that is making a 1/16th balsa ARF C-130 in a Blue Angels livery.

My real disappointment with this one is Maxford got the wing root to fuselage connection really wrong.

        @ OV10 and Beeg,

Thanks for the input. I have seen both the Maxford and the ASM offerings up close and have flown a freind's ASM C-130.
A10, you are correct the wing root on the Maxford is kind of wonky.
The ASM offering is very flimsy and prone to inflight wing warping.
Oh well, I guess I'll keep searching for a good ARF version and if all else fails build one from scratch.
        Best regards,
        Cris B.

The HobbyKing Avios version is a very good product. Maybe not as big as some would like but for me, any bigger and I would not have bought it. If it were balsa/composite, I would not have bought it.

Happy Avios C-130 owner here. Have a fair number of flights on mine with zero issues.

A larger one would be nice, but this is a great model.

I did my own Texas Air National Guard markings to model a Herc that is based across the runway from where I work. I did it as a shout out to out to the hard working troops over there n the 136th Airlift Wing, including our RC club President, who is a maintainer is that unit.

I nearly always have the external tanks installed, but forgot to do it for these two pictures, for some reason.
