Sorry to hear that. I pulled the stock motors and ESC’s for a more powerful setup. Was going to use them for another project. Might hold off on that now, although I did fly it a couple of times stock with no issues.

If they run "hot", one or both could have gone into thermal shutdown. When an ESC does that, putting the throttle to zero for a second or two, can bring it (them) back to life for another short stint till they shutdown again. I've found with one of my planes that an ESC (or engine) getting really hot was due to a bad connection or bad solder somewhere (or anywhere) between the battery and ESC, between ESC and motor. On that plane, when I resoldered the connection at the battery, everything cooled down.
On this Bronco, there are some very long runs of wiring with some hidden connections. It may be necessary to trace it all from one end to the other and check those as best as you can.

      • Thanks for the update, I think I an done with this plane as it will cost too much to get it going again.

I checked the battery condition in both batteries and found that there was still about 65% power remaining. Anybody else have similar problem?
Those are the exact circumstances that befell the previous owner of my Bronco. I bought it from him for $50 after he crashed it. I replaced the crumpled Fuselage and tested all the electronics. During motor testing I saw that the ESCs were maxed out at 26 amps on full throttle and one was getting rather warm. Considering they are 30A ESCs thats too close for comfort (for me). I replaced the ESCs with ZTW 45a ESCs and successfully maidened it today.

          • Thanks for the info. I think I will upgrade as I now have a new OV 10 nearly assembled but the ESCs are on back order.

            • As I’ve mentioned a few times, the P-38 and Tigercat ESCs have the correct wire length and work perfect in the Bronco. I have the Tigercat ones in mine. That way you don’t need a BEC either.

              • Its strange that they would put in 30 amp ESCs in the Bronco that weighs just slightly less than the Tiger Cat which comes with 60 amp ESCs

You can't just go by the weight of the planes. That's only one part of the equation. Take a look at the other aspects of each plane.
                  1. 3530 motor vs 3748 / 3648 motors. Not just size differences but internal differences.
                  2. The P-38 turns 12" props vs 9.5" on the OV. If you put those tiny props off the OV onto a P-38, it's not likely to push over 30A either and the plane won't likely get off the ground.
Most of these mass produced planes are equipped with stuff that will just do the job, with very little left over. If you were to put a meter on a P-38, it might surprise you that it's pushing close to the rated amps for its ESCs. Having said that, even those 30A ESCs can probably take 35A to near 40A on short bursts (a few seconds).
Then there are other unique circumstances on any particular model that can stress the powertrain.

I searched for a week and found same quality Pilots but not the selection on CGTrader, I downloaded the STL files I liked and printing now, not cheap but they look to be worth it. I really wish Sean would offer STL download on his Pilots, that would open him up world wide. Thanks for the info anyway!
Really sorry to hear that. I have now finished my cockpit and will be posting photos here. I am really pleased how well these pilots turned out for the Bronco.
Anyhow good luck and hope you will get it sorted.

ID:	273005 I have completed upgrading my cockpit and I hope you like it. Here are several photos from the workshop and I then I will post some static shops from the field.
There are some action shots to follow which I will
post as soon as I get them from the fellow club member who kindly took those.
