I'm going to be maiden my p38 this week when the weather gets better<smiley image="anim_claps.gif"/>. but I was wondering where people measured the cg from?
is it 60mm from the leading edge?

    Thanks Ian

    Re: P38 cg

Usually the specs for a plane will list the CG point or your enclosed manual will have the CG distance measured from the front of the wing. A general rule of thumb is that the CG is usually located at the thickest part of the wing section.

I just checked the manual, it shows it 60mm back from the front part of the canopy... It seems like a strange starting location. I sent FMS an email tonight asking them to confirm it is correct, I will post their response once I receive the message.

Ok, I got the feedback from FMS.. The CG is 60mm from the leading edge of the main wing. See picture below:

Finally got her up for her maiden. the only problem I had was the grass at our field was too long so I was doing some mowing. but as soon as I got her up flew great.

Thanks Motion Rc for the great support.
