I'm equally guilty but as American we always talk all this ying yang about Chinese quality and sometimes the quality is low but in the case of Dee in Hong Kong it is not. I don't know what material Dee uses but ETTI hardware has always been some of the best hardware you can get. I wish they made hardware for the really big boats and riggers because the quality is second to none. You never need to break a single edge. It appears apparent in their tool paths because every iota of the items AWAYS have perfect and uniform broken edges. The material is also different grade of Aluminum than you generally see . It is lighter , stronger , and seems to machine to a better finish. I'll have to ask Dee what he using but it is of a very high quality. It was much better than that of the Sweeds at BB. That's the truth directly from what I have in my hands here. I needed to clean up the BB hardware quite a bit.

Here are photos on the scale that show the difference in weight from standard electrolytics versus hybrid caps. The 2 100 volt barrels like you see typical only give you 660uf while the hybrid bank gives you 4700 uf. The 10 px was damaged and had a cracked LCD . Its back now and ready to go. Were getting close..... but I still have to fully configure XLX2 & 2028 telemetry and then the Futaba onboard gyro.

Hi,
The 1721 2400 Kv will be sent back to castle. There is no way this one I have in hand does 90,000 rpm. I tested it today on 8s and It is so out of balance at wot im scared to run it long there. I think ill be buying a Neu 1539. Out the box a motor should be smooth as silk at wot. I opened it up and it was nothing that stood out. There was not any trash in the gap. The rotor lost its balance somehow is all I can figure. The balance tabs were in place.
Castle Drag motors aren't covered under warranty but I just called and since I have not run it in a model they said they will look at it and if it's defective they will cover it.

Again, Here is 2,000,000 uf at 6s lipo or 1,000,000 uf of INSANE capacitance at 12s lipo to compliment the 250C SMC Drag cells.😮 They are about the size and weight of a typical LiFe rx pack. I wired them up just like a pair of saddle packs with 8 AWG castle cable and 6.5 connectors. They have enough capacity to run the inverter without a battery for a short period of time. In short durations they can deliver quite a bit of amperage. This is a long way from the 2000 uf you get from castle in a form factor just slightly larger than their electrolytic cap bank..For cooling with water one of my ideas is to glue a copper strip with tubing soldered to it to the bottom of the exposed barrels with a thermally conductive adhesive or thermal pad. The diagram explains it well. Some may find it overkill but I feel this is critical because the lithium supercaps don't like to be above 70C* you don't want to run into any problems or introduce a short with this amount of current surging through the boat . Id feel a a little better with the investment If I know I'm at least trying to cool them.

You could probably pull off dual 8mm cable into the AMASS SH 8.0 connector but I didn't do that . I'm going to add 8 awg leads finished with castle 6.5mm connectors soldered right into the XLX2 battery input cables so the super caps or any other caps or auxiliary off main power can just plug in . This will also make it easy for use to log the before and after effects of the capacitance on ripple and voltage sag. Once everything is mounted in place maybe I can shorten some of the cables, but I want to maintain modularity so I can interchange all this with other boats setups etc. I'm not worried about voltage drop . I should be stout enough on delivery for whatever. The XLX2 and the HYDRA versions do have the built in spark arrestors.🙏
Thanks for your continued interest in my Insane mono. The swimming pool in Bayern doesn't have enough room Borat. 😜

I'm going to change a few things around. I'll pull the .125 wire drive out and install a .250 flex shaft for the power trim. I plan to lock a flat ride attitude with a Futaba gyro on the 10PX. I 'm going to start with the 2028 castle drag motor but may switch to something in the 90-100K rpm range. I picked the strut up off ebay for $67.00 . There only 1 or two left according to promise hobby. That's a really good deal for what is here in my opinion.
