  • Hobby Engine with HL remote

    Hi all,

I'm new on the forum and also new in the rc tanks world.
I bought off ebay an hobby engine abrams as it was cheap. I don't like it because it doesn't have the proportional steering and after some research I found on aliexpress a remote control and board 6.0 from HL.
As I don't want to buy it and find out it's not working on my tank, could you please let me know if it's a simple board replacement? Obviously cutting some wires as I don't think the connectors are the same.

Please remember that I'm on a tight budget, so I can't afford a HL brand new tank. :)

    Thanks!

Short answer is YES you can “make” it work. Overall it’s not hard to do if you aren’t afraid to splice wires and understand positivities and negative wiring.

That's great, thanks Mate! Not sure when I'll upgrade the tank, but I will add some pictures/tutorial once it's ready.
