San Diego r/c Tank Battle Day Sunday Sept 13th

Sunday the San Diego tank club is having an “open” battle day. Bring what you have no matter the era. Details can be found below:

There was a good turn out for last weekends San Diego “open tank battle”. Not only were their a number of Hobbysquawk forum members there but members from LA tanks out of Los Angels and DAK tanks out of Scottsdale AZ.

Sorry I did not take many photo I was busy having fun and socializing with those in attendance.

On a fun note, there were more Heng Long tanks then I have ever seen taking the field and playing within reason with their Tamiya competition. Here is a photo of three HL tanks taking control of an objective after pushing the opposing team out.

These three Heng Long tanks are owned by HS forum members. Also notice they are all using the LegoDEI “IR battle receivers”. This simple upgrade makes them able to interface and battle much better with the Tamiya tanks.
