I have been trying to get the main belt and gear from slipping.It is getting to me never had so much trouble with a helicopter 18$ a belt.

Generally, but depending on the belt/pulley design, the belt has to be run quite tight. If I'm not mistaken, the Protos 700 uses a kind of belt tensioning system?
