The sky squires of Marion Illinois is officially registered for National Model Aviation Day, August 12 2017. We will host the event for the entire weekend. This year we will be featuring a 180 foot long 23 foot wide geotex runway for EDF or smaller planes. It's not installed yet, but soon will be. All hobby squawkers invited. RV parking, camping is allowed but there is no facilities available other than a porta potty

Update. Geotex might not make it down in time. I am not real happy about it, but without going into detail there is some good reasons why. With that being said, our field is in good shape now and before the event it will be cut short and rolled, rolled and rolled some more. -
