    Admiral Yamamoto's Flagship

The Nagato-class battleships were a pair of dreadnought battleships (Nagato and Mutsu) built for the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) during World War I. The Nagato served as the flagship for Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto during the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 that triggered American entrance into the Pacific War.

Bancroft’s Elite Series of warships continues with the 1/200 scale Battleship Nagato. Display this museum piece on your mantle or astonish your RC boat club with this functional RTR (Ready to Run) RC battleship. Over 400 total parts and 100 man-hours of work are already completed for you. Delivered Ready to Run (RTR), the vessel can be sailing within minutes of arrival, using the included 2.4Ghz radio transmitter and 2s Li-Ion battery. Only four AA batteries and minimal final assembly is required.
    Removable Turrets

The Nagato's fully detailed main turrets can be easily positioned for static display or removed for transport or further customizing. Each main turret's barrels can be positioned up and down independently.

    Easy Access Electronics Bay

The Nagato's primary superstructure is molded around one central piece that can be easily removed with one hand. To access the hull interior, the entire superstructure is pulled cleanly off of the deck.
    Pin-Sized Details

Over 100 hours of handcrafted details are built at the factory using hundreds of fingernail sized brass Photo-Etched (PE) parts and larger sub-assemblies
    Pre-Installed Superstructure

Hundreds of hours of workmanship are done meticulously at the factory. Every sub-component is assembled from multiple materials, then detailed and painted by craftsmen.
    Genuine Wood Deck

The Nagato's one-piece molded hull and deck is covered by a single large laser-cut and laser-etched genuine wood deck
    Pre-Installed Rigging

The bridge's many rigging lines are pre-installed at the factory. There remains just a few anchors for the user to position when he/she receives the model out of the box. Just one anchor is needed to be undone in order to service the interior of the boat.
    Photo-Etched Brass Foredeck

Textured photo-etched (PE) foredeck and aftdeck is made of brass, pre-painted, and pre-installed. Amazingly sharp details are rendered in pin-sized resolution at 1/200 scale!
    RTR - Ready To Run

A 2.4Ghz radio system is included and pre-installed, as are all internal electronics. A primary battery and charger are also included. Simply charge the included primary battery with the included charger, then insert your AA batteries into the radio transmitter to begin sailing!
    1/200 Scale

1/200 scale is the ideal "Daily Driver" size for battleships, being the best balance between large size for stable sailing and high detail, and a lightweight hull for convenient transportability. With its 1310mm hull length, the Nagato can be transported laid sideways across the width of a standard sedan, or displayed on a ~60" shelf.

The distinct "pagoda" style bridge elements make the Nagato instantly recognizable as an Imperial Japanese Navy vessel. Modeling the most notable IJN battleships all represented by Bancroft in the same 1/200 scale is an impressive feat and makes them fun to own and operate side by side. From the beginning stages of the war with this Nagato serving as Admiral Yamamoto's flagship to the end of the war with the Battleship Yamato, these vessels effectively bookend the beginning and end of the Imperial Japanese Navy's time in the sun.

What a stunning ship! So excited to get it in the lake. Amazing how detailed it is and also how easy it is to get ready.

I added 3.8lbs of ballast in the tub this morning, and as for "assembly", its just the 3 flags, 4 big turrets and 2 rescue boats that get mounted. The rigging is all done, you just have to unhook each side to get access to the hatch.
