  • New feature found in the Fliteline/Freewing ESC for twin power systems.

Wow, in this thread we learned that Fliteline/Freewing are using a proprietary SBEC in their ESC that allows for both SBEC in the twin engine setup to be used to drive the radio and lights.

This is a great and one of the many benefits of reading Hobby Squawk, that is finding out about undocumented features in the product line!

What I’'d like to learn is when was the cut in date for these new ESC with this proprietary SBEC? How can I differentiate these new ESCs with this proprietary SBEC from their predecessors? As of now the parts pages for the P-38 and F-7 offer no help.

I ask as I have 4 sets of twin Freewing Power systems that I’ve collected over the last 3 years. By the label they all look to be Hobbywing Skywalker ESCs.

Are these new SBEC to be found, as of now, only on the Fliteline/Freewing twin products?

    All the best,
    Konrad
