Here is one of the many mods I performed to my Freewing Su-35. You may have seen similar mods on some other sites. What I think is a bit different is that I’m using oil dampened shocks as my dampener to keep the aft load some what in check as the front landing gear strut moves aft.
I had some Traxxas stuff so I used it. I had to wind my own spring but that’s not too much of an issue. Time will tell if this adds any durability to the front landing gear system but so far it appears to help with tracking of the model both at take off and landing.
