  • A new Setup Core tool for Turbine Conversions

Hey Guys, I've been planning a few Freewing conversions and wasn't ready to pull the trigger on the turbine purchase until I knew the fit was good. I decided to design and print a few Swiwin X45 "Setup Cores" to do the fitment and plan out components and strategic foam removal along with heat protection.

I took it to the next level though and designed them to be dimensionally accurate including the mounting clamp and to mimic the exact weight of the Swiwin X45 (395g)! This will allow me to set rails in the correct positions and CG the airplane before my turbine purchase. I've now moved on to designing models of all brands and sizes. I know there are some basic STLs out there, but I wanted a 'Pro' version that is dimensionally perfect and, most importantly, ballast-ready to match the exact 395g wet weight of the engine.

Let me know if you're interested in getting one for your next Motion RC project!
