Hi, I have one of the FMS AT-6 Texan RC planes and this plane is extremely hard on props if being flown off a grass field. The plane will tilt forward and its 2 blade 8.5 x 7 prop will make contact with the ground. These props are quite brittle and often are damaged.
I wondered if the shorter three blade prop 7 x 6 from the FMS 800 T-28 could be used on the AT-6 or possibly the prop from the A1 Skyraider which is a four bladed 7.5 x 4 prop.
Has anyone flying the FMS 800 AT-6 swapped props. Which props did you use and how did they work out.
FYI I did ask the same question to Motion RC and they responded best not change props as each prop is the proper fit for each of the FMS 800 planes. However having gone through so many props would really like to find a shorter prop which would not as likely hit the ground while flying of grass fields.
