So I got my Aeroscout and binded to an NX10. I went all in on the nx10 as a beginner cause why not right. First flight I almost crashed it. It would tilt to the left and up and then somehow lost control of it when I switched flight modes in the air. . My video game reflexes saved it and figured I needed to do some homework. hehe. After looking around the tilt and up pitch seemed to have been cause by the plane not being level when the battery was connected. Right?
So on the second flight the next week I noticed 2 things.
1. The button assignments for beginner, intermediate and experience where assigned beginner, experienced, and then intermediate. So that is what made me think I lost control of it the first time. The 3 modes are active and working as well as the panic button. But the switches are out of order. How do i fix that?
2. On its second flight it was set to intermediate. As I was flying around banking the plane when suddenly automatically it would level out for a second, then after that second it would let me get control of the plane. It would do this a few times and it seems it would happen when the plane was at its farthest distance from me. I didn't let it get to far way.
At the end of the second flight I crashed it. But patched it up .
On its third flight. It was flying well, I had improved a bit as a pilot. I didnt notice issue #2 appearing until i had gotten the plane some distance away from me when it decided to level out and go even farther away from me. I turned it around but the winds where too strong in that area of the field. Maybe issue 2 kicked in again, not sure. The wind sock was really moving in that space. I tried my best even saved it with the panic button but with the pressure on i crashed it again.
So tldr, Does anyone have advice for issues 1 and 2. She will fly again. I got some new servos and some thin hobby ply-wood for her busted inner servo mounts. hehe .
PS. As a beginner I was flying when it was windy but its always windy here around the time I have free. But overall the plane was steady because of the gyro...
