Can these heli's be flown in non-self-leveling (acro) mode, and if so, can the modes be selected in flight?

Valkpilot...were you in safe mode? Get tail in hover down first. Throttle control to keep the "yo-yo" effect down. Panic button "safe" is not the same as flight mode 1 safe. Its extremely rewarding to get to the point of scale flying. I will never be a good 3d heli pilot but love flying the heli like a park flyer.

Actually SAFE ids mode 0 on the RTF version, and that's what I was in. The problem is that I'm flying in a space that has trees causing eddies and vortexs. There's even a boundary layer at about 10'.
And I'm not a stunt pilot either, just want to putter around the sky.
