  • Admiral GP2 3520-950ky Motors for the Nexa CHC-TWin Otter

I just received the Nexa DHC-Twin Otter and want to use counter-rotating motors. I know that I can simply reverse two of the three wires to one of the motors to reverse it, but my question is, does anyone know wrere I can get (or have made) a reverse-threaded prop adapter for that one (of two) Admiral GP2 3520-950ky motors. I'm aware that I could just tighten the reverse motor's prop nut like crazy and add some red Locktite, but I'd prefer to do it right - if possible. I'd even be willing to use different motors it there is a different motor of the same size or a bit larger if someone knows of one that comes with a reverse-threaded prop mount/adapter? I'd sure apreciate any help. Many thanks. BBBBen.....

No need for a reverse threaded prop adaptor or to tighten the nut "like crazy". Just put a little FoamTac on the threads where the nut will come to rest when tight. Simply tighten as normal. Been doing this for years and never has a nut come loose. That's how my Twin Otter works along with all my twins with counter-rotating props.

Exactly what xviper says except for the fact that I don't have an Otter in my fleet of twins.

My thanks to xviper and OV10 for your suggestion. Sounds like a simple solution; using Foam Tac. Will do.
