What is the best battery charger out there?

I just want to say this charger has handle whatever ive thrown at it. Im very happy with them over a year later. It even charges some tru lipos out of an EV that I have very effectively.

Hi. I never got the other black charger but one of the new SMC 4s 10600 mah drag packs did not register the 4th cell.

Danny just sent another brand new pack to replace it free of cost just in. No haggle....

I have to solder the AMASS on it then charge her. I plan to run a real load test on a few motors this evening.

One charged fine but my son says the other only showed 3 cells so the balance plug may not be right. Ill have to check that after work.

nonetheless I'm very pleased with the purchase.

OK fellas I got it going but am not sure if the SMC are high voltage LIHV or just normal? Please dont let me ruin these packs as I really have no idea what Im doing here with the charger.

but a can tell you from what Im seeing so far my Imaxb6 can go in the trash can... this thing tells you everything....

LOL I can't get this charger to start it say i dont have balance connectors plugged in but I do on these brand new packs

This is really a waste of a high current connector but i want this as seamless as possible so I'm not going to use alligator clips or any make ready adapters. Ill just sacrifice a few of my best connectors. Its all for the same cause.

See so two come today and another black one is soon to follow. Now I got too many chargers.. No matter Im going to bust this bitch out the package and start charging. I have to build connectors as I use AMASS 8.0

But I'm very happy to finally have these.

Would u believe im still waiting for the charger

..... so it ends up now that 3 will be at my door . The original one I ordered that got lost in shipping then found after the seller has another one already en route and another from AMain hobby I ordered when I got tired of waiting. After all that the original showed back up in tracking after no report updates for over a week.

Thats how I end up with 3 Ill probably just keep the replacement the original vendor sent and give it to my son.

I'm going to order the charger . Probably two. The price is not too bad.

This doesn't have to stop the discussion but this is certainly better than what I use now. It cost me 126.21 to my door from RC Hobby Experts Store

I use the Gens Ace Imars D300. I'm very happy with it. Balance current is 1.2A per cell which is good. I highly recommend.

Thank you very much. I'm looking at it now. It certainly appears to be a step up from The IMAX B6 i use now..😁 After looking at a review I'm also on to a HOTA S6 AC400W DC650W 15A Dual Channel. So I guess between these two is where I'd probably be interested. They seem to be exactly what I need. Large capacity 4s, 5s, and 6s, High C cells is mainly what I'd be charging. I have a colleague that has done a very in depth comparison of the latest batteries so id like to see how the smart battery from Gen Ace compares to the SMC SRD V3 . This charger made me interested in their battery. Sure wish the SMC cells I have had that plug and play feature.

Hi Squawkers.

Does anyone here have an opinion on chargers. I want one that does and excellent job of taking care of expensive batteries like the Drag cells from SMC. Id like to have one that cycles the stored batteries if that's what is best for them.

Please take the time to explain what makes this one or that one better than another.
