The 250mah 11.1v 3s 30c with jst connector and jst/hx balance connector lipo battery that is recommended for my f86 sabre rc plane is not in stock. Can someone give advice on a good battery that will work? I want a strong battery with good flight time. I am new to this and not sure if I can go higher on mah or the 30c. For example, I found a 450mah that weighs approx twice as much as recommended. Is that enough power to compensate for the weight?

Re: lipo battery question
Greetings Rowdy,
I will figure you're flying the 30mm AirTech F-86.
It would appear that the only battery specified/recommended for this particular aircraft is the 250mAh 11.1 volt 3-cell. Nothing is mentioned within the product data, the review/flight video or customer reviews related to battery options/upgrades.
MRC is usually VERY good at calling out battery options for consideration and use within their planes.
If no additional battery capacities are offered/mentioned as options then I believe it is safe to assume that you should be paitient and hope your recommended battery is re-stocked soon.
Now, that being said, it doesn't mean that there aren't other MRC forum members that haven't experimented on what can be done with your F-86 successfully. If so, I am confident they will respond as well providing pros and cons.

Re: lipo battery question
More mAh does not translate to more power; it is the size of your fuel tank. If it fits, it might allow you to fly longer, if the extra weight isn't too much of a penalty. It will be slower and less maneuverable, and require a higher landing speed.
If no one chimes in with an alternate battery, you must first measure the dimensions of your battery box. Then, search for a battery that will fit, without adding too much weight.
