OK my question is , I'm flying my Pandora on the suggested 2200 3S packs . Ran all three down to 40%-49% . Don't ask me about voltage I didn't pay attention . Is that low enough , too low , more to go ??? My numbers came from my GT power battery checker .

After logging each flight, yes, I have a model logbook, I make note of residual % of battery left & cell voltage. I do this to determine what to set my Tx timer. With my scale birds, I like to just cruise at half-throttle to get a decent flight time. My powered gliders w/2200's give me (5) 30sec full power climbs, & I can stay afloat 20-45min & have enough in reserve to avoid a disaster. Most of my planes use 3S 2200mah & I take them down to 12-14% residual left(11.1V=11.25v) with a cell voltage of 3.70-3.75v shown on my HK Cellmeter7. They recharge without any issue back up to 4.15-4.20V & no swelling. I've been using these batteries over a year now. All my batteries are Zippy, Zippy Compact, & Zippy Flightmax.

At a residual of 40-49%, you could easily get 2-3min more at half-throttle cruising. Depending on your flight time, & if your Tx has a timer, add 1 min. to several flights & then measure residual %. You are pretty close to limits once you reach 15% consistently. This will still allow you to have enough power to perhaps get out of a sticky situation. Hopefully, others may chime in with their procedures.
