NX8 scroll wheel switch broken, can’t access my ac files

The scroll wheel on my NX8 is broken and the screen is alternating between the main screen and a red screen asking me if I want to turn off the RF.
I can’t get to any of the menus and the only way to switch off is to remove the battery.
There’s no SD card inserted and I want to remove my ac files so I can put them on my backup Spektrum tx but I can’t connect the tx to my desktop either.
Any way to bypass the scroll wheel or access the files on it ?

Take it apart and remove the internal sd card.

Ah ok, I’ve taken it apart before but not seen where it is. Do I have to remove the circuit board ?

does the internal sd card have my aircraft files on it ?

Yes, the slot looks just like a slot that you would see on a board without a cover, when you open the transmitter halves and disconnect the wires look at it and you should see the card holder. the file for you planes is on the SD card.

For a reason that I can't recall I took the SD card out of my NX8 about a year ago. It was pretty easy. Trickiest part was not pulling on the wires connecting the two halves of the case.

I’ve taken the internal SD card out quite easily. I’ve checked all the files, it has all the BNF files for Eflite, Hangar 9 but it doesn’t have the files for my created models unfortunately.
