  • The Popup Mount For 9g Servos

    The 9g servo popup mount.

This mount was designed to enable 9g servos to be installed into thin wings without the need for gluing which can cause problems when a servo needs to be replaced, or if you need to reposition the servo arm which will be inaccessible when the servo is glued in place.

There are 2 parts to the mount, a fixed frame which is glued into the servo recess and a tilting frame which the servo is attached to, and the pivot which is itself clamped to the fixed frame by 2 M2 self tapping screws.

The whole assembly will fit into a 42 x40 x 12.5 deep pocket and the servo can then be replaced by simply removing the 2, M2 clamp screws, tilting the servo assembly upwards and removing the servo.

The pocket depth is only limited by the thickness of the servo.

It is freely available on Thingverse and can be made by anyone with a 3d printer, here is the Thingiverse link.
