  • Magnets for securing canopies, where can I get them?

The two little magnets on my Freewing B-17 don't hold the canopy on very well, it blew off on the maiden flight.

I checked my LHS but did not find anything I could use. Does anyone know where I can get these? I'd like some that are thin and rectangular shaped so I can add them to the B-17.

I get mine from K&J Magnetics Inc. It's a online site and they have every kind of magnet you can think of at good prices and good service.

Their shipping prices are outragous though.

Michaels is an arts/craft store with 1145 locations through out the US.
Here is a 1/4 inch round Neodymium magnet that they carry and it is unbelievably strong for it's size.
Michaels has the products you need for home decor, framing, scrapbooking and more. Shop and save on arts and crafts supplies online or at a store near you.

As already mentioned (and the last one not mentioned yet), K&J, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and Harbor Freight for magnets.

Just want to throw this out there from personal experience. But, did you balance your props? Did you have your esc battery connection wire tucked and/or secured? I am guilty of not doing either one, or in the case of the props doing it poorly and it has resulted in canopies coming off.
