    FMS twist and turn retracts

    I was wondering if the new metal trunion retracts made for the 1400mm F4U will fit the P40 as well.

          We've tried this on both.

          The P-40 requires the same minor surgery for installing the retract as the corsair. However, the P-40 struts will NOT mate up with the new retract. You actually have to use Corsair struts on the P-40 for this to work.

          The Hellcat is a tougher situation. It has a longer strut so it will take a lot more engineering to make this work. We have not successfully made this work on the Hellcat yet.
