I am building a spray booth for r.c. models. It measures 38"W x 22"D x 16"High at rear and 18" at front, the top sloping toward the rear. The base is hollow raised 4" to allow for down draft setup. The plan is to use only acrylic or water based paints and wondered if a fan made without brushes is a necessity. I understand paints that are volatile - lacquers, etc. - can be ignited with spark from the fan motor but if only using the above mentioned paints, does this still apply?
The plan is to use an LED under cabinet lighting strip powered with a 12 volt power plug. Would this also be an issue?
