  • Now It's Beginning To Make Sense

    Greetings Gang,

I have to admit, that at first I was a bit confused as to why MRC would randomly throw so many un-announced changes to our happy MRC Forum Family.

Well, as it turns out we are no longer perse' an MRC Forum (we may never have been, but at least before it felt like it).

When we select "forum" from the MRC web site, we are sent through a portal to what is now Hobby Squawk - an open to anyone hobby forum. Not that that is bad, but for me it removes the community and continuity we have come to know when sharing information, ideas, concepts and experiences privy to those who shop primarily with MRC.

How do I know this? Well, I have been wondering why we can't return directly to the 'mother ship' (MRC) once in the forum? So, logically, I asked. This is an excerpt of what I received.

There is no back button to Motion RC because this is a stand alone website. We may have a presence here obviously, but we really want this to become an open RC community, not only for Motion RC customers.

Again, this concept is ok. We as MRC loyalists' can still communicate with each other but, for me it loses a little something 'special' that I felt knowing what we all had in common was being an "MRC" community.

I have places like RC Groups and such to fulfill my "open RC community needs" if necessary.

    It's all good I suppose.

RE: Now It's Beginning To Make Sense

    Hello Bill,
You're pretty much spot on there Bill. But as the eternal optimist that I am, I have to give Mark and the rest of his MRC team some latitude in putting his MRC "loyals" out to the rest of the world to hear us while he works to earn the trust of the patrons from the failing vendors such as HK and NP. They are failing because they just don't get it and this is where MRC is STAND UP. No stupid shipping charges and customer support that is the best in this industry is why MRC rocks. I'm not a huge keyboard commando anyways and even less so during the flying season. As long as MRC keeps listening to their customers and uses these inputs to help make changes that we want, it's all good with me.
    Best Regards,

        Yep, well said!
I don't know about you guys, but I use Firefox and when I go to the forum, it just opens up a new tab, so if I need to switch between MRC and the forum, its easier than it was.
I've got to the point that it erks me to have to look anywhere else but MRC for anything hobby related, guess they got under my skin, but I know one thing for sure, if it hadn't been for these guys and the excellent service and support I've got from them, I wouldn't be out there pranging my airplanes with the rest of you fine fellows!!
