Hello scale enthusiasts,
Have been looking at the various German WW2 aircraft and would not mind adding a couple to my fleet but in looking at all the different ones available I have noticed one common discrepancy with them all. The tail swastika has been removed or alternatively replaced with the iron cross. The livery is an important aspect that us modelers(at least me) like to hold true to when representing a model. Has our society become so politically correct that manufactures fear that there would be a public backlash for decaling the model as it was in real life?? If this be so, then don't even recognize these Nazi aircraft by manufacturing them. Yes, the Nazi used this very powerful symbol to murder millions of people, but for 3000 years prior to this it had positive meanings. Just because I would like to represent a historical airframe with accuracy does not mean that I condone or advocate what the Nazi party represented. Until our society quits sticking its head in the sand on subjects that are like a cancer to us then we truly never will be able to heal from the pain and disfigurement of these "cancers". I guess I'll just have to find a way to decal or paint this swastika emblem myself in spite of the political correctness!!
Regards,
Charlie
