    MrRCSound Sound System V4.1 With TT-25 For RC Planes
    Any one tried this system, the video's sound great, can it be moved from plane to plane?

    Greetings

    Welcome to the forum.

    I use the 4.0 version with the original 'potted' speaker.
    I really enjoy the added demension it gives some of my planes.

    I use velcro to secure the speaker so I can move the system between planes.

      The new transducers are glued in, so I'm planning to buy extras, and mount them in more than one plane, and just move the sound board. I plan to run the Merlin in my FMS P-51, and the Continental in the J3 I'm building.

        I have the 4.1 system with the TT-25 transducers. Great system. I have the TT-25's (2) installed in my EMB-312 Phoenix Tucano. For sure get the TT-25's if you're thinking balsa. See RCG thread. Bought an extra chip so I could have a turboprop sound, mimicking the real Tucano. Have the fixed speaker in my FMS 1450mm P-51 Big Beautiful Doll. The stock system comes with the Merlin. Very cool.

        It's a head turner at the field, mainly near the Pitt area. The gasser guys roll with laughter. The turboprop starts up and spools down like the real thing. Though you can hear the difference, the effect while flying is not as dramatic.

        Of course, the card is transferrable from plane to plane. Easy to do.

        Highly recommend the system.

          It's back in stock!! Has anyone installed this into the P-38? Need 2 of them? What about the multi engine sound pack? Need 2 of those as well?

            I see in the WW2 mult-engine pack that guns are under "servo 1" and "servo 2." I'm confused as to how to set this up. I need 2 servos in separate channels for this?

              BadBob, if I recall correctly you need a short jumper to run from the 2 pin connector on the sound board for each gun type. This jumper then goes to one of the free aux. channels on your receiver which you then operate from the switch on your transmitter you have selected for that channel. So, you do need a receiver with a spare channel for each program you are running off the sound board.

                One other thing BadBob, is you don't need an extra channel on your receiver just to run the sound board with the engine sounds. That board is powered through an adapter cable directly of your Lipo battery. They recommend you plug the sound board in after powering up the ESC so the timing with the throttle is not thrown off.
                You only need the extra channels to run the guns or cockpit chatter or whatever extras you select. I run my Corsair using a 6 channel receiver and get the engine sounds only but I'm happy with that.

                  When you say, "2 pin connector," I assume you mean one of the 2 pin connectors labeled "EXT. R and EXT. L" behind the 2 pin connectors for the speakers. The board comes with a spare 2 pin connector wire with a 2-pin JST connector on one end and no connector on the other end. (Don't know what this is for). Is this where a servo cable can be spliced in to plug into a spare channel on the RX? I have a 12 channel RX, so lots of extra channels to work with.

                    There should be four servo connection points, three pins each, along the edge of the board opposite the speaker connectors. Servo1 goes to the throttle channel. The rest are for the various other sound functions. If you have the version 4 board, the manual says "Servo 2 is ALWAYS a machine gun sound, and is synced to the 2 LED outputs on the board. The main engine sound used determines the auxiliary sounds on Servo3 and 4." and the 4.1 manual says "Servo 2-3-4 are used for auxiliary sounds such as guns, whistles, and pilot chatter, or in the case of car/truck unit, burn outs, pop off valves, horns, etc.."

                      Yeh, sorry, I forgot there was a manual and you're right. I was kind of thrown off when you mentioned the 2 pin connector. LOL! I just plug in a standard servo cable to the Ch.2 pin, assign that to a switch and blast away! Now I'm trying to figure out away to install the gun lights. Hmmmmmmmm.....!

                        The car could be moved from plane to plane. Using tt-25 there is no way your going to move speakers around. Velcro would not hold them. The led synch works, but the led from MrRcSound are not that bright. If your going through that trouble you might want to look around for some brighter led lights for the guns. Here is a video of one of my Mustangs with the MrRc Sound set up and led gun lights

                            I've been busy and am just now getting around to installing the board. I have a question about the installation with 2 batteries and 2 ESC/BEC's. The board has only 1 battery connection and I see instructions for installing it with 2 battery packs, but not with 2 battery packs and 2 ESC/BEC's. How do I connect the board using 2 battery packs and 2 ESC's? I've contacted MRRCSound, but haven't got anything back.

                              If I recall, the instructions for two battery packs is for the situation where the packs are connected in series. In your setup, the two ESCs and battery packs will have a common negative, so you could simply choose one battery to power the board, as if it were the only one. The alternative would involve using Schottky diodes to share current from the batteries, which complicates things.

                                Thanks Wintrsol. My confusion was because I have 2 pass thru connectors and forgot why. Now I remember back when, I ordered an extra from Motion. Don't recall why, but I have an extra one for spare, I guess. So yes, one battery will do it. Thanks again.
