          RE: Merry Christmas to all!

Started snowing with wind on Christmas eve night and continued through Christmas.  Sunny today with about a foot of snow, just finished shoveling the drive way!

Great Christmas, lots of stuff, including a Dremel tool with all the attachments a guy could ask for!!!

            RE: Merry Christmas to all!

Sounds like you had a very nice Christmas G56, and wow, snow! We don't get a whole lot of that here in Alabama, especially a Christmas snow too. Sounds like you need some skis for the planes now! We had a good time too. Visited family, ate too much, and even got some flying in! The weather here was kind of overcast, but only about 7-8mph winds, so I was able to get in a few flights before having to pack up and head back for dinner. The C-188 handled the wind really well, as did my Corsair S. Both excellent flying planes.

This morning was even better, though chilly in the upper 30's, but I finally got my nerve up and flew from the local park ponds with my UMX Icon A5, and the Flyzone Tidewater. First time ever flying off water, and I had a blast. It was actually easier than I thought it would be, and I had no problems on take offs or landings. Even did some touch and goes on the water today. The local goose population on the water didn't seem to care either. They kind of watched if I flew over them low, but never acted startled or tried to take off.

I hope everyone out there had a good Christmas and is enjoying the gifts, and time off!
