  • replacement retractable nose gear

Hi all, could anybody help guide me where get a replacement retractable nose gear for my eleven hobby T28 ? I've gone on Banggood's site but all I see are main replacements, and they don't look interchangeable ? I read someplace that another brand plane's gear may fit ? any help or point me where to look would be appreciated ! Thank you,
    MR. B

I just did a search for parts for this airplane and was shocked that spare parts are kinds hard to come by for this model compared to other brands. I was only able to find a few on ebay.
When ever buying an un-heard of brand make sure there is a good spare parts support before you buy. I had just found out about Eleven hobby and was eyeing the T-28 too. Good thing I found out about their bad spare parts support.
Your best bet is to take a picture of the front retract and post it here to see if we can match it up to something similar.
Here are some links to some other T-28 front retracts incase they are a close match.

thanks Evoman, E-flite one looks the closest, the actual motor rotating part looks the same but my "lower axle" part is different. but is out of stock.

You can use the main retracts for the nose gear if your not afraid to take the gear apart to get to the e-clip that holds the strut in. R.

I am replacing my nose gear on the E-flite T-28. In order to attach the c-clip at the top of the axle, you apparently need to dismantle the two sides of the gear mechanism. I attempted that, but after removing the 4 screws, it didn't want to come apart all the way. Should it without breaking anything? Thanks for the help. It looks like RRhandy may know the answer from his post.

Some times you need to gently pry the halves apart, if the mounting plate is not part of the halves then you need to remove that also. Ron.

There are 6 screws, two are hiding behind a sticker. Be careful of the little idler gear when you get it apart, otherwise it seems reasonably straightforward.
