Has anyone heard news of the new FAA ruling on RC pilots? I thought it was supposed to be out in Jan. The Doctor

All I know is that the guy that crashed the drone on the white house lawn, isn't going to help our hobby

      RE: FAA ruling

I could have sworn that I read the ruling somewhere, but now I can't seem to find where I was.

I saw that on the news about the dope at the White House. I'm sure it's going to further the discussion on drone use, but I don't know how much it would be detrimental to the hobby. I hope that the FAA can see the difference between people using drones to fly near the white house, or harass celebrities or whatever else they use them for versus a long established hobby of flying RC airplanes. To me there is a distinct difference, drones seem to be the newest fad going with people hooking up cameras and go pros flying all over creation. Someone flying an RC plane doing loops and rolls or even just flying the pattern is just "plane" old fun which people have been doing without incident for decades!
