What is that runway made of?

Hey Capt. Mike and Pilot Ryan, 
  I have been wondering what that runway you use in your videos out in that farm field is made of. Looks like a plastic of some kind because it is shiny. If it is a covering over the grass, how is it attached? Looks great, no bumps or indentations along the edges.
  Just curious.

Thanks....looks like a neat way to have an instant runway.  Probably WAY too expensive for the average Joe.

Ahh, many's the time I've drooled over that runway!!
One of these days I'm going there for one of the events that Ryan was saying they hold.

I believe our club payed around 2500 for it. Club members installed it on a Saturday. When all is said and done after fold over and overlap the runway is 28 x 180

We love it!

Greetings Gang,

I remember we discussed this a while back.
To me it looks like someone took a typical blacktop runway and dumped a butt load of Armoral on it, let it dry and added stripes!!!

It's just too darn pretty!!! But I sure like it!!!

Very nice, and you don't have to worry about the occasional car that wants to stop and chat when you are trying to land!
