keeping batteries seperated

Hey all not sure how any of you do it but I label all my batteries with the plane on them . After you get a couple of planes and different batteries for each it can get very confusing if not careful . I have a label printer that I picked up for like $12 on Amazon . Nothing fancy just a basic printer . I use it to mark props , parts bags , etc. . Just thought I might pass on what works for me .

Great idea Bryan,

I would even add a label inside the plane for the type/size of battery. Sounds crazy I know, but some airplanes that I haven't flown in a while, I can't remember what battery they use, and have to go back to the manual to look it up. I have so many planes that use the standard 2200mAH 3 cell, that I wouldn't have room to write on the battery!

I also number my batteries so if I happen to have an issue with one at the field, I make a mental note of the battery so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle bringing everything home. It also helps me keep track of which batteries are older ones

Great idea. I also started putting all my batteries in a old, wooden box with 16 compartments. (about 24 X 18 total, compartments are 6 X 3 +/-) I have it hanging it on the wall in my garage, and I have all my charged/discharged/storage level batteries separated by compartment and size. Now at a glace, I see what I have ready to go in which size, or what is discharged, or what is in storage. So when I get home from flying, I plop the discharged lipo's in the correct spot in the box. I was just usually leaving the batteries lying around and trying to guess if I had already charged it, or I had used it, or what!

I bought a bunch of those red/green slides that stick on the sides of the batteries from HK.... After I use a battery I slide it to red. After a charge one I slide it to green. Works well for me.
