Night Flying??

Greetings Gang,

As the flying season officially looms closer and closer and the nights will stay warmer, I thought I'd prepare to take a stab at night flying when the opportunity presents itself.

Here's a couple of shots of the 1600mm Wing Master from BlitzRCworks. I snagged this a while back when it was on sale for $99!!

Anyone else planning a little "danger in the darkness"????

Wow, that's going to be quite the display!
The Old Crow has landing lights that could knock you eyeballs out in the dark, Hmmmmm

Indeed, night flying is definately an interesting endeavor!

I'm hopeful that at times it will fill the time void between the end of a flying day, when it is typically too dark for continued, traditional flying and while the mirror in my telescope is cooling down in preparation for an observing session. Since I usually do both from our flying field, it seemed like the perfect way to use that transistion time.

Now I see that these new FAA rules may put an end to night flying for us as they stipulate dawn 'til dusk.  It's strange to me that on one hand they want to classify us as flying real airplanes (which we are in every sense except scale and the fact that we're not inside them), but we can't fly at an airport and we can' fly higher than 400 feet or faster than 100mph and only from dawn 'til dusk, what's up?
Try putting those rules on a full sized aircraft.
